New Premium Rate and Contribution Details
Effective 2025, the premium rate for direct contributors is set at 5.0% of the Monthly Basic Salary (MBS). The premium contributions are computed based on the following income brackets:
Monthly Basic Salary of P10,000:
Premium Rate: 5.0%
Monthly Premium: P500.00
Monthly Basic Salary between P10,000.01 to P99,999.99:
Premium Rate: 5.0%
Monthly Premium: Ranges from P500.00 to P5,000.00
Monthly Basic Salary of P100,000:
Premium Rate: 5.0%
Monthly Premium: P5,000.00
It is important to note that the computations exclude certain earnings such as sales commission, overtime pay, allowances, thirteenth-month pay, bonuses, or other gratuity payments. Furthermore, any deductions resulting from the employee's absences should also be excluded in the computation.
