The circular covers all SSS members and pensioners living in the affected areas. The assistance will be available from 26 July 2024 until 24 August 2024, providing a window for eligible individuals to apply for the aid they need.
Definitions of Key Terms
Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP): A short-term member loan program granted to eligible members affected by calamity.
NDRRMC: National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
Residence: The home address indicated in the Social Security member/pensioner record.
Tropical Cyclone (TC): A warm-core low-pressure system without any front attached, developing over tropical or subtropical waters with organized circulation, including hurricanes and typhoons.
Policies and Types of Assistance
The assistance package includes two main types of aid:
Calamity Loan Assistance Program (CLAP): Available for member-borrowers whose residence is in the areas declared under a state of calamity by NDRRMC.
Three-Month Advance Pension: For Social Security (SS) and Employees' Compensation (EC) pensioners whose residence is in the affected areas.

Additional areas may be declared under a state of calamity by the NDRRMC as needed.
