The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) of the Republic of the Philippines has announced the release of the Alphalist Data Entry and Validation Module Version 7.4. This new version is now available for use and can be downloaded from the BIR's official website at www.bir.gov.ph. This update is crucial for all concerned taxpayers, internal revenue officials, employees, and others involved in tax-related activities.

Key Features of Version 7.4

The 7.4 version introduces newly-created alphanumeric tax codes and updated rates for transactions under the creditable and final withholding taxes. These updates are essential for ensuring accurate tax computations and compliance with the latest tax regulations.

Submission Deadlines

Taxpayers must take note of the submission deadlines for the alphalists for the taxable year 2024. The deadline for submitting BIR Form Nos. 1604C, 1604F, 1601EQ, and 1601FQ is thirty (30) days immediately after the date of posting in the BIR website of this Circular. This deadline is critical for avoiding penalties and ensuring timely tax filings.

Resubmission Requirements

For those who have previously submitted alphalists using the old version of 7.3 data entry module but encountered error reply messages from the eSubmission facility, it is mandatory to resubmit the alphalists within the same deadline using the upgraded version of the module. This ensures that all submissions are processed correctly and efficiently.

Compliance with Extract Programs

Taxpayers using their own extract programs must adhere strictly to the attached revised file structures and standard naming conventions for the said modules. Detailed guidelines can be found in Annexes A and B of the Circular.

Call to Action

All internal revenue officers, employees, and others concerned are urged to disseminate this information widely to ensure compliance and awareness. The BIR emphasizes the importance of using the latest version of the Alphalist Data Entry and Validation Module to facilitate accurate and timely tax reporting.
